work).This Jupiter-Pluto opposition together with Saturn in Scorpio in the 11th house (groups) also speaks of Boko Haram, the Islamist extremist group which opposes Western education of women.
This occurs at the same time of the Korean ferry’s sinking, where and when many students,traveling with their teachers on a school trip died. The number of dead youngster are chillingly similar to the number of the abducted girls.
The conjunction Venus Neptune that curiously also occurred when the disaster of the Costa Concordia in January 2012, perhaps speak of the fact that these were supposed to be leisure trips as well. But we can’t avoid perceiving the symbolism of people being taken by Fate to the depth of the Ocean (Neptune)
The asteroid Ceres, in the chart of the abduction, which lies in conjunction to the Node and Vesta, seems to evoke all the mothers who have lost their daughters as Ceres did when Persephone was abducted by Hades (Pluto). Interestingly, for Ceres to retrieve her daughter, at least 6 months of the year, she had to deal with Zeus (Jupiter) and Hades (Pluto), now also linked together by opposition.
The myth of the rape of Persephone in a nutshell: A beautiful day, Persephone was playing with other nymphs in a beautiful field of flowers, with her golden curled hair flowing in the wind, enjoying life. When suddenly, attracted by the beautiful flower of the Narcisus, walked away from her friends to a corner of the meadows her mother had warned her not to go. Hades (Pluto), who rarely left his hideout in “The great below”, emerged with a force, in his chariot pulled by beautiful black horses and being totally invisible, as it was, whenever he came out to the surface, due to a helmet that made him invisible to the eyes of others, given to him by Hermes (Mercury)and proceeded to take Persefone and rush her into the darkness of the Underworld to make her his queen and wife.
He had been infatuated by her beauty for sometime, so he decided all by himself, that she would be his Queen, the Queen of the Great Below.
By dusk, when Demeter, the mother, returned home, found that her daughter had not returned from her afternoon outing, and decided to go out to try to find her, without any result. In desperation, after several days of search, she went to Zeus, King of the gods, and her brother, to ask for help.
Zeus told her that Persefone was with his and her brother Hades, but that he had no power over the Kingdom of Darkness. Therefore, the only thing that could be done was to arrange a meeting between Hades and Demeter. So there went Demeter to meet with her dark brother and after much discussion, Hades agreed to let Persephone, whom nobody had asked her anything, rise to the surface, six months of the year, which coincides with Spring and Summer, as Mother Earth, in her happiness, produces flowers, fruits and leaves in the trees and the other six months she must return to the great below, to occupy her place as Queen, which of course is Autumn and Winter, when the land is dry and the leaves fall. But, before letting her go, Hades makes Persefone eat a pomegranate, as a symbol that he had already taken her,( or taken her virginity), to be sure that in this way she should return to him.
