Here comes the New Moon in Gemini, the sign of the twins, ruled by Mercury (retrograde at the moment).
This is quite an exiting New Moon, not only for falling in this most charismatic sign, but because the Sun and the Moon are in a degree of Gemini that makes a square (90º angle), to the Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron conjunction, at the same time this conjunction becomes exact and an exact trine (120º) to the North Node of the Moon. It also makes an quincux (150º) to Pluto, the planet of transformation.
This combination of planets, exude an element of spirituality and openness of mind to the new, to the exotic, to anything that will takes out of the quotidian, which could be very interesting and enlightening, as well as the idea that something is changing and we must help in the process. Although it seems to be happening beyond our control we are becoming increasingly aware of it.
This is when you get to do anything which will take you closer to your dreams, if you dare to be yourself.
So now, let’s get real for a moment. This conjunction, depending
on what sort of aspect does to your chart could very well be a strikingly lucky moment. Added to the New Moon in Gemini, it is quite easy to guess that Aquarius, Libra and Gemini, especially those born towards the end of the sign are the ones affected more positively by it. Having said that, it all depends on what sort of situation you are living at the moment.
In the case of a client of mine, who was suffering of a terrible cancer in her liver, and had spent the past 2 years battling against it, it meant death. Death as a liberation of pain and the physical body. Jupiter is often involved in the passing, as it offers the freeing of the physical realm to enter another dimension of evolution.
For a couple I know, it has meant the end of a struggling relationship, which has given freedom to one of them specially.
For those people having their Chiron Return, meaning those born within 1955-60, this is a very special period of their life, when they are called to bring into consciousness the real possibility of healing, by becoming aware of the area of pain and where the real wound lies.
This New Moon, like most, calls for an initiation, a beginning, a different way of looking into the areas of the soul that need healing.
With Saturn in Virgo, the acceptance of one’s reality is vital. Once we have accepted our limitations, we can begin to really see what knowledge, talents and experience we have gain and can count on, or we have developed in our life, and this way, the road we must travel, will become apparent.
We must not be terrorized by anxiety, making ourselves numbed with tablets only helps for few hours. We must learn to use those feeling of terror to find out what is causing them and what are we saying to ourselves that we find so difficult to understand. Astrology helps to find answers which often are of an archetypal origin.
Chiron and Neptune connect us with our longings and the areas of our soul that need expression and attention. It is clear that it isn’t easy to be human, but then again, nobody said it was going to be. Learning to heal is part of the process and this New Moon is a great opportunity to begin this journey towards our well being.
